Takashi HAYASHITA − Editorial Board Member
Takashi HAYASHITA, Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Faculty of Science and
Technology, Sophia University, was born in 1958 in Miyazaki Prefecture. He received a B. of
Engineering (1980), M. of Engineering (1982), and D. of Engineering (1985) from Kyushu
University. He served as a Research Associate at the Department of Applied Chemistry,
Kanagawa University (1985-1989), Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Chemistry and
Biochemistry, Texas Tech University (USA 1989 -1991), and was promoted to Associate
Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Saga University (1991 -1997), and at the
Department of Chemistry, Tohoku University (1997-2005). From April 2005, he moved to
the present position. His research interests are the development of novel methodologies for
innovation in chemical analysis based on supramolecular chemistry. He enjoys outdoor sports
and camping with his family during holiday seasons.
